I've finally recovered enough to post something about the Cubs. I think it's time for me to stop investing myself emotionally with this team. During the first game against LA, I KNEW they were going to get swept.

I think about those dead people I see every once in a while at work in their Cubs jackets and hats, etc... lying in their caskets, or their ashes are placed in those weird Cubs URNS.

So I'm going to watch every season from now on with low expectations. Beats what happened last week.

Benson just doesn't seem to care very much. Sometimes it helps to have a little heart to go with the talent.

Good riddance to bad Trachsel. He sure has a lot of attitude for someone who pitches like crap. Bye bye Stevie!

Sweet Billy Williams was funny yesterday at the rally. I do love him in a "Harry" sort of way. He mentioned "Bob" Lilly and added a few syllables to Soriano's name.

Heh.

There wasn't one home game my sophomore year that the Bears didn't have a scout watching Romo. I bet that scout was fired tonight.

For every happy sports town, there must be a sad one. See: Jeff Wilkins misses late 4th Qtr. Field Goal
See: HGH propels Cards to 10 below .500
See: At least there's hockey, right?
